Train2Validate

It is the abbreviated name of the European project "Vocational training for facilitators and validators in the easy-to-read method", which will last three years (1 September 2020 - 31 August 2023). This project is developed within a partnership between Plena Inclusión Madrid, Professional Foundation (Romania), Zavod RISA, Polytechnic University of Timișoara, SDI Munich, SSML Pisa, and ECQA. Easy to read is a methodology to create intelligible texts for people with reading difficulties, for example, people with intellectual disabilities, elders, people with dyslexia, or recent immigrants. These people need easy-to-read texts that use simple sentences and ordinary words.

Plena Inclusión Madrid is a non-profit organization that was founded in Madrid in 1978, it is basically the Federation of Organizations of People with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. Their mission is to support people with disabilities to improve their quality of life, as well as to promote their inclusion as full citizens in a just and caring society.

The Professional Foundation is a non-profit organization, established in 1998 with the aim of promoting quality education, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, lifelong learning, human rights, natural biodiversity, and the fight against poverty, and social inclusion.

The aim of the project is to create studies that contribute to the development of an “easy-to-read” method.

The first major Virtual Conference held on the Zoom platform will take place on May 26, 2021.
